I was sceptical about purchasing this cake because I've purchased many Red Velvet cakes, but they actually tasted like chocolate cake; like there was no difference... When I tasted this cake, I was amazed! Everyone at my sister's birthday party was in awe! The taste of this cake--IS tastier than any cake that I've purchased from all of the local bakeries in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. This cake is worth the shipping fee, from Florida to Missouri!

As someone who has baked his share of amazing cakes I was not sure if I wanted to purchase a red velvet cake or not (it's one that I make very well with a terrific cream cheese icing).

I bought one of these to appease the non-chocolate fans in the family for my cousin's birthday.

I bought the 9" for by boss's birthday. It was amazingly unbelievably delicious. Very heavy and dense, yet moist and heavenly. The cake weighed about 10 pounds and was soooo tall. It was beautiful and tasted even better than it looked. I would definitely get this cake again, after I try all the flavors. I have had chocolate which was decadent, and the combo which was fabulous, and the strawberry which was excellent. So far, this one is my favorite. (Posted on 10/29/10)

OMG!! All I can say is this is the BEST Red Velvet Cake I've ever had!!! Tried it this Sat. night at a b-day party and everyone raved about it! Was absolutely delicious! I know I will be ordering from "We Take the Cake" for my next party or even if it's "just because" no special occasion!
